Norwegian -Lithuanian Business Forum 2015

The Royal Norwegian Embassy in co-operation with the Norwegian Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce (NLCC), Innovation Norway (constituting TEAM NORWAY, LITHUANIA) and DNB Bank had the pleasure to invite Members and guests to the “Norwegian- Lithuanian Business Forum” held in Vilnius 20th of May 2015.

This year business was part of  Norwegian Days in Lithuania  2015,  which  focused on promoting Norwegian-Lithuanian business and social cooperation and presenting fine examples of Norwegian culture to the Lithuanian public.

Business Forum was held at the Radisson BLU Hotel Lietuva and was followed by an evening concert  where the famous Norwegian Jazz musician Jan Gunnar Hoff  performed,  accompanied in part by famous  Lithuanian trumpeter Valerijus Ramoska. The concert was held in Lithuanian National Philharmonic Society. 

The purpose of the Norwegian-Lithuanian Business Forum 2015 was to  expand and promote Norwegian-Lithuanian business cooperation, share and discuss challenges and ideas,  exchange experiences  and knowledge.

The event was opened by Ambassador of Norway H.E. Dag M. Halvorsen. Later on A. Magnussen, Senior Economist, DNB, had presented a markets economic outlook with a lower oil price. Jekaterina Titarenko, Head of section Strategy and analysis, DNB, and  Per Stensland, Manager Invest in Norway/ Innovation Norway had joint together for a common presentation about Norwegian culture – what is important to know dealing with Norwegians? After coffee brake there were presented actual case studies reflecting Norwegian experience in Lithuania. "Real estate in Lithuania, with a Norwegian perspective" was presneted by Kjetil Hanssen, General Manager, Schage Real Estate. Paul Hegna, Director Corporate information and CSR, Møller Auto shared they experience on how to integrate the company's core values in CSR strategy. Knut Anders Opstad, General manager, Opus Capita (Norian Accountig) shared his knowledge obout running a Norwegian shared service center in Lithuania and how to manage people.

Actual topic "SHEconomy – it‘s your business!" was presented by a guest speaker Ingvill Bryn Ramboll, Norwegian journalist, co-author of the book „SHEconomy“. After her presentation interesting panel  were formed from Dan Strömberg, CEO, Omnitel,Jekaterina Titarenko, Head of section Strategy and analysis, DNB, Oslo,Ingrida Šimonytė, Deputy chair women in the Bank Lithuania, former Finance Minister, and
Bjørnar Lund, Chairman of the Management Board and President DNB, Lithuania leading to an interesitng discussion.
